Another Place in Time

The St. Louis Historical Time series of books launches with the fictional memoir "Falstaff Inn", the story of August Rick who while working for the prominent Lemp Brewery oversees the launch of the Falstaff Inn, the brewer's restaurant at the upcoming 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.  While gang violence continues to climb in a city packed with breweries and saloons, August's boyhood friend Edward Lally, now a police detective, investigates the people behind the violence.

In the second book, "Only Time Will Tell", we move to present day and meet Scott Andres, a young widower who decides to leave the family's lucrative business to become a philanthropist.  When his boyhood friend and college professor Finn O’Rourke tells Scott that he perfected his time traveling cylinder, the two begin an adventure traveling into history to provide relief to the peoples of the past.  After visiting ancestors in 1904 and meeting "Falstaff Inn" author August Rick, Scott and Finn embark on a trip to 1935 Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl to aid victims of the worst environmental disasters of the time.

In the third book, "Another Place in Time", Scott and Finn continue their time traveling philanthropy by first heading to 1896 St. Louis to aid victims of the worst tornado in the city’s history.  After a break in present day, where Scott has republished August Rick’s World’s Fair memoir “Falstaff Inn”, Scott and his crew embark to 1871 Chicago to provide shelter to victims of the great fire that ravished the city.  A final journey to 1920 St. Louis brings them in contact with survivors of the flu pandemic while meeting for a final time the key characters in “Falstaff Inn”, bringing August Rick and his story of 1904 events to its ultimate conclusion.

After a break in present day, Scott and his crew embark on a trip to the future, traveling to 2035 Nashville to visit an old friend. A final journey to 1912 brings them in contact with survivors of the RMS Titanic while traveling aboard the rescue steamship Carpathia. The adventure is the most extraordinary experience that the time travelers have ever encountered.
